Dining Room Lights

The focus of your dining room lighting should be the table. You need enough ambient light to see what you are eating, and who with, but not enough to feel dazzled or overwhelmed.

A pendant hung above your dining table is a great lighting choice as it encloses the table in a wide circle of light that extends across the table. If you have a long table a series of pendants along its length increases light levels and looks stylish.

It's a good idea to support lighting above a dining table with other gentle background lighting by using a combination of wall lights, table lamps or floor lights.
