The GX53 lamp uses Megaman’s unique Ingenium Technology which prolongs lamp life up to 15,000 hours, extends switching cycles up to 600,000 times and delivers a precise preheating time of under 1 second.

The GX53 lamp is encased with a silicone diffuser which reduces glass breakage and is completely recyclable. Below the silicone diffuser a glass cover provides exceptional lumen output and a translucent finish on the lamp base gives excellent all-round light distribution. With an integrated ballast and a T2 U-shaped tube specially produced to decrease glass tube breakages. The reversed L slot keyway on the base of the lamp is designed to IEC standards, which ensures safe engagement of the lamp holder in contact position.

Megaman have worked hard to develop light bulbs that are environmentally friendly and safe. Megaman use Amalgam in all of its lamps, offering a safer, more eco friendly alternative to liquid mercury. The silicone sleeve rids the use of acids for producing frosted finishing on glass covers and also confines mercury and shattered glass if the lamp is accidentally broken.

With it’s advanced technology and cool running temperature the GX53 is being used more and more. Common applications include display cabinet or under-shelf lighting, closets, workstations, corridors and staircases.
